Controlled Stretch

A controlled stretch built around slow stretch and slow return in a comfortable range.

Tool: Finger Stretcher

Benefits:

Daily: More controllable range
Training: Slow stretch-return improves active control
Comfort: Stay comfortable for safety

How to:

Set Up: Move into a comfortable stretch range, then return with control
Do: Slow into stretch → pause 0.5s → slow return

Equivalent logic:

Best with a finger stretcher; unweighted works if you keep the same slow, comfortable range

Safety:

Stop for sharp pain, numbness, or tingling
Stay in a comfortable range
Stay controlled

Note:

Stretch only to comfort — don’t force pain
